Erste Netbooks mit NVIDIA ION Grafikchips bereits ab 2. Quartal 2009?

NVIDIA hat gestern in einer Pressemitteilung verlauten lassen, dass ihr Grafik-Prozessor ION bereits in Produkte eingebaut wird, die im zweiten Quartal 2009 auf den Markt kommen.

In der Pressemitteilung heisst es: "ION enables consumers with new mini-notebook and small desktop systems to access and play a larger library of Windows games, creating incredible opportunity and access for all gamers". Damit schliesst NVIDIA bereits den Einsatz des Chips in zukünftigen Netbooks mit ein. Performanter als der bisher in Netbooks hauptsächlich verbaute Intel GM945 ist der NVIDIA ION Chipsatz alle mal. Man darf also gespannt sein auf die erste Geräte.
